Over recent months, Capemedia, the entity behind TV47 and Radio 47, has made significant hires, bringing on board seasoned journalists like Willis Raburu, Shatta Bwoy, and Betty Kyalo.
The media company recently announced a revamped programming schedule that showcases a mix of prominent journalists and entertainers. TV47 has introduced a new lineup of programming aimed at enhancing the viewing experience for its audience. The media outlet emphasized its commitment to producing quality content that not only engages its primarily youthful viewers but also appeals to a broader audience.
Among the notable additions, celebrated news anchor Betty Kyalo will host a new weekly show titled ‘This Friday,’ airing every Friday at 9 PM. Radio personality Steve Jacob Maunda, better known as Shatta Bway, is set to present ‘TV47 Irie Vibes,’ a new program scheduled for Saturday nights at 10 PM.
Additionally, investigative journalist Franklin Wallah will lead ‘Crime Untold,’ a show dedicated to in-depth crime analysis, which promises to captivate viewers with its detailed explorations of various cases.
These new additions will join a robust team of existing journalists at TV47, including George Maringa, Lindah Alela, Victor Muyakane, Hibaq Said, Stanley Nyaringita, Paul Kirobi, and Eva Rugal. The team also features Joash Onsare and Andrine Kilemi, with Tony Kwalanda and Fred Arocho spearheading the sports presenting team.
TV47 is also expanding its programming to include new segments like The Legal Show and TV47 Kilimo, details of which will be announced in the near future. In addition to its regular news coverage and shows, the channel offers a range of special features such as the ‘Documentary: Face of Africa,’ DW Documentaries, and children’s programming, enriching its diverse broadcasting content.
