According to reports from some reliable sources, the ministry of education maybe be forced to push the examinations term dates to enable learners and teachers to cover the remaining parts of the syllabus before the national exams.
Yesterday, the government redirects the ministry of education to postpone the date scheduled for school reopening until further notice.
So far, 1500 schools across the country have been affected by floods, with some remaining submerged and with no rooftops hours before the opening date.

President William Ruto through his speech yesterday, directed the Ministry of Education to postpone the re-opening of all schools in the country following the flooding crisis occasioned by the ongoing heavy rains.
Dr. Ruto said the school re-opening date be postponed “until further notice”, noting that the situation is likely to escalate in the coming days.
Schools were initially set for re-opening on April 29, 2024, but the date was later pushed to May 6, 2024, due to disruptions from the heavy rains.
