William Lokai a survivor has narrated how he escaped death after a friend called him to warn of the flood waters. He was keen to note that he immediately woke up his family members and moved to the roof top.
He managed to pull his wife to the top together with two grandchildren who had earlier visited them during the day. He has highlighted that the water overwhelmed them and his two motorbikes were washed aware in his presence.
His neighbor was not lucky as their house was immediately washed away and the entire family perished in the floods. Lokai has highlighted that the intensity of the floods was too much and he has nothing to begin life with at the moment.
