Kalenjin weddings and Koito ceremonies are deeply rooted in tradition and are significant cultural events among the Kalenjin community in Kenya. During a Kalenjin wedding, various rituals are performed, including negotiation of bride price, exchanging of gifts, and traditional dances. Today, Caroli Kipchumba was having a Koito ceremony in Uasin Gishu. Top leaders from both the national assembly were present.

Some of the notable leaders present included the head of public service Hon Felix Kosgei, the Member of Parliament for Kesses Hon Kipchumba Sudi, the husband to the Nakuru county Governor Hon Susan Kihika, former Langata MP Nickson Korir who is currently the PS for lands, CAS Dennis Itumbi and other leaders.
