Latest reports indicates that a bad accident in Maguta few kilometres from Turbo with several boda boda riders feared dead.
The accident involved a shipping container which was allegedly being driven at a hugher speed.

“A very bad accident has just happened in Magut,a few kilomtres after Turbo,several bodaboda riders have been crushed to death by a shipping container that was on the truck @ntsa_kenya @NPSOfficial_KE”, report intimates.
This comes a day after Transport cabinet secretary Kipchumba Murkomen listed down several rules which should be adhered to to prevent further accident from happening.
However reacting to the accident, kenyans expressed their views via their official twitter handles as follows;
Justina: “Dereva alikuwa anahepa maboda!” Guys our policies and legislations should create formalized legal money making opportunities that call for somewhat discipline and structure. Hii maneno ati kijana anakataa shule ananunuliwa bodaboda isn’t helping, hata hajakomaa kuona sanctity of life, observing law and order.
She added: We all have potential beyond kazi za uhustler, usufferer, ukarabati, ukienyeji….and everything in between informal and unstructured. #inatuhusu ✅.
Magana: the guy did what he could, he’s also traumatized, then you don’t go grabbing people’s blood without use of gloves.
@kipmurkomen We also need to introduce Driver CPC designed to provide drivers with the skills to administer first aid in emergency situations while on the road.
Harambe: This area needs two emergency response stations on both sides of turbo. I was on this road in January and the number of stalled trailers, those that have overturned on their sides and involved in crashes were a lot.
