The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) CEO David Njengere has admitted that, the 2023 KCSE results had errors that led to awarding of students who scored D- minus, C-minus and B – mminus higher marks. According to the CEO, the error was however corrected and the right results were delivered to schools.
David Njengere is clear that, the error was system generated and it had nothing to do with the KNEC as an institution. This is indeed shameful and a clear confirmation that indeed, the Ministry of Education has failed parents a big way.
The CS Education Ezekiel Machogu has failed badly in delivering credible results and this is indeed shameful for he has never got it right since his appointment by President William Ruto. The challenges in the education sector have continued and it’s important to understand that, unless this issues are resolved the country will face a lot of hardship going into the future.
