Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen on Monday left mourners in stitches at Kapsere constituency in Uasin Gishu county, as he explained to them how their MP Oscar Sudi had been behaving while they are on trips abroad.
Speaking during the burial ceremony of Abraham Kiptarus Tuwei, who was the father-in-law of MP Oscar Sudi, Murkomen hilariously narrated how the Ruto-allied MP usually tricks his way into presidential meetings wherever they accompany President Ruto to trips abroad.

He lauded Sudi, saying he is such a clever MP and usually finds his way to places that most of the CSs in Ruto’s government cannot access. He thanked God that Sudi did not get a higher education, saying he could have been more clever and witty than he was. Murkomen recalled a scenario where they accompanied Ruto to a foreign trip and with no time, Sudi had found his way into the meeting, something that most of them (CSs) could not
“Huyu Sudi ni mwerevu said. Penye anaingia, mawaziri wachache wanaingia.
He said his wisdom has enabled him meet even powerful presidents whom he usually do business with. He added that despite his poor English, he has managed to engage high-profile persons even with language barriers that pose a threat to him.
“Kuna nchi aliniambia anaenda nikamwambia watu wanaongea kifaransa huko sio hii kingereza unangangana kuongea. Sudi aliniambia pesa haijuangi kifaransa, akasema kuna lugha mnaongea na kuna lugha ya pesa enye haijui kingereza ama kifaransa,” added Murkomen
{There’s a country that told me he was going, I told him people speak French there, not this English you struggle with. Sudi told me money doesn’t understand French; he said there’s a language you speak and there’s a language of money that doesn’t know English or French}
