Saumu Mbuvi, the first-born daughter of former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko, has today celebrated her first baby daddy Benson Gatu.
This is because he turned a year older and being proud of his milestone, she could not keep calm about it.
Saumu Mbuvi infact took to her Instagram stories and posted a photo of Ben Gatu. She then accompanied it with a caption praising him and further wishing him well on his special day.
“Happy birthday to the father of my child @bgatu. You are an amazing gentleman. May God shower you with his blessings always” she wrote.
Clearly touched by her post, Benson Gatu also reposted it on his Instagram stories.
The flamboyant businessman then accompanied it with a caption saying:
“I appreciate you, always @saumu_mbuvi”.
The move by Saumu Mbuvi to celebrate her further baby daddy Benson Gatu on his birthday however is not a surprise.
This is because even though they are currently not in a romantic relationship, they have always enjoyed a peaceful relationship that has even enabled them to amicably co-parent to raise their daughter.
Benson Gatu and Saumu Mbuvi were actually once sweethearts, having met at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) where they both used to study.
The two however separated in 2017 after their relationship failed to work out like they had hoped.
When they separated, the mother of two actually accused the businessman for being a violent man and also claimed that he was using her for political mileage.
Saumu Mbuvi’s second baby daddy is former Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip.
In contrast to how she has a good relationship with Ben Gatu, the same cannot be said about Anwar Loitiptip.
The former lovers do no see eye-to-eye and on some occasions, Saumu Mbuvi has accused the former Senator of being a deadbeat dad to their daughter.
