A Kenyan woman living in the US identified as Esther Muthoni Muteti has opened up about her ended marriage while celebrating 14 years in America.
The lady shared her photo on Facebook looking pretty in a grey laced dress while sitting in what looked like a car.

She, however, accompanied the post with a long message, regretting how she wasted 10 years of her sweet life, sacrificing her joy to being a housewife.
Although she did not reveal what may have happened in the 10-year marriage she was in, she promised to detail the sad escapade.
Muthoni also cautioned women who sacrificed their lives to become housewives and narrated how the wake-up call sometimes comes too late.
She wrote: “April 2, this marks 14 years in America. I wasted 10 years as a housewife in the name of marriage that was a scam. Ladies learn to say no to staying home. Go work. That man living with you, paying all bills, is not real; the day you will wake up from your sleep might be too late. Never settle for being a housewife. You will cry.”
Muthoni also maintained that for marriage to work, there must be freedom and expressed how joyful she was that she was free and ready to move on.
Here are some of the reactions to her viral post:
@Daniel Were said: “Marriage is not a scam. Feminism is.”
@Esther Ngumo said: “The attitude is just wrong…the freedom we talk about is just something else.”
@Frankee Walker said: “I wish we could hear what the man’s story is. Sometimes women like unleashing like they were the angels in marriage.”
@Liankey Nyambura said: “You did not waste… You are now an experienced marriage consultant. Hakuna kitu hujui.” Read more: https://www.tuko.co.ke/people/relationships/543923-kenyan-woman-celebrates-14-years-wasted-10-years-housewife-marriage-scam/
