Elphus Musisa, a man from Vihiga County, recently shared his encounter with Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen, which occurred at the NTSA lobby as the minister was leaving. He narrated that the CS had just received complaints from the public regarding delayed services at the NTSA offices.

According to Elphus, it was Murkomen who initiated the conversation by asking the people seated on the benches what they wanted. When Elphus saw the CS exiting the NTSA offices, he took the opportunity to express his job search to him. He informed the CS that he was there in search of a job, to which the CS responded on camera that no jobs were being offered at NTSA.

Elphus revealed that within a few minutes of their interaction, the CS had already instructed his staff to inquire about the type of job he was seeking. This happened even before the video of their encounter went viral and before the CS was made aware of it. As a result, Elphus was offered a job as a driver.

Elphus expressed his gratitude towards Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen, stating that since 1996, he had been relentlessly searching for a government job without success, spanning across administrations from Kibaki to Uhuru. He mentioned engaging in various other hustles that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
