48-year-old businessman, Vincent Opon Kisangani ended his own life by setting himself ablaze inside his house in Kitengela, Kajiado County.
Reports indicate that the distressing incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Vincent Kisangani, a supplier of building materials, reportedly arrived home alone after a few days away with his lover.
What happened next was nothing short of harrowing. Armed with a kitchen knife, Kisangani inflicted several wounds upon himself before ultimately setting his own house ablaze.
Prior to the horrific act, Kisangani instructed his housemaid to vacate the premises immediately.
His actions, fueled by what police suspect to be prolonged domestic disputes with his lover, paint a grim picture of the turmoil that had wrocked their relationship.
Neighbors, who had witnessed the turbulent nature of the couple’s relationship over time, were left in shock.
Reports have surfaced indicating that the bungalow where the tragic incident happened was owned by Kisangani’s lover, who is purportedly married to a man residing in America for over a decade.
The absence of Kisangani’s lover during the distressing events has raised questions about her whereabouts and potential involvement in the circumstances leading up to the tragedy.
This development comes days after a 29-year-old man, Denise Gakuru, died by suicide after setting himself on fire in the Kasarani area of Nairobi remains shrouded in mystery.
Gakuru’s lifeless body was discovered in his house long after the self-immolation took place on Monday.
