Content creator Brian Chira who died on March 16, at the age of 27, will be buried in Githunguri, his grandmother’s home, on Tuesday.

As the TikTok family continues to mourn the late Brian Chira and prepare for him a befitting send-off, musicians Justina Syokau and Alpha Mwana Mtule have released songs to mourn the young social star.

The news comes after his body was moved from the city mortuary to the Kenyatta University mortuary earlier this week after an autopsy was conducted.

“Tumepoteza kijana mwenye nyota, mpambanaji. Safiri salama Brian Chira. Umetuacha na uchungu mwingi sana. Kilio kimetanda. TikTok dunia nzima tunaomboleza,” Justina sings in part of the song titled ‘Safiri Salama Brian Chira’.

Kenyan musician KRG had offered to foot the bill for the transfer citing that Chira was an orphan – Brian was raised by his grandmother. The announcement was made where the late creator was most popular, on TikTok, by creator Baba Talisha, a close friend of Chira.

“Akiwa mzima, hamkuiona faida yake. Mlimfanyia dharau. Leo sasa amekufa, mnajitokeza mnamlilia. Leo hii marehemu, mnajitokeza mnamchangia. Kipindi kile yeye anaumwa, hamkumjali. Kipindi kile alifungiwa hata nyumba, hamkumsaidia. Tatizo letu sisi, tunangoja mtu afe ndio tuione thamani yake,” Alpha Mwana Mtule sings in his emotional Upendo song in honour of Brian Chira.

The often controversial TikToker died of head injuries sustained during a hit-and-run that police say they are investigating.
