Recently, there have been numerous talks regarding the Ministry of Health. This is because some doctors are currently on strike and the government is trying its best to ensure that operations in most hospitals are back to normalcy.
According to recent news shared by Gabrile Oguda, it seems as if the Cabinet secretary for health might have taken matters too far to try and prove to Kenyans that doctors were not on strike.
CS Nakhumicha is said to have entered an operating room together with some of her aides to take a picture during a procedure to prove to Kenyans that doctors were not on strike.
Although it is not clear why the CS was allowed into the operating room without the necessary protective equipment in place, the incident seems to have left Kenyans angry and worried at measures that some people are willing to take to prove a point.
The operating room is one of the most crucial elements of a hospital. During procedures, measures are often taken to ensure that an operating room is not contaminated to avoid exposing a patient to elements that might compromise a patient’s health. This explains why doctors and nurses often have specific protective gear that they wear before entering an operating room.
