A significant collaboration between the Kenya Film Commission (KFC) and the Copyright Tribunal has been announced in relation to the upcoming Kalasha International Film and TV Festival and Market. The event will take place in Nairobi, at the Kenya International Conference Centre, from March 27 to 29, 2024.
The partnership announces the opening of a free Copyright Law Clinic, which aims to provide creatives working in the film and television industries with crucial knowledge and guidance on copyright law. Additionally, KFC has revealed that additional intellectual property attorneys will be present at the Film Festival and Market. These attorneys will be volunteering with the Copyright Tribunal and will be able to offer their invaluable knowledge and assistance.
