A notorious drug dealer from Coast reported to have been abducted last week, was on Sunday found dead nine days after he went missing.
Drug baron Yusuf Ahmed Swaleh alias Candy Rain was allegedly picked up by people who identified themselves as security officers for interrogation.
Swaleh’s lawyer, Jared Magolo, said his client was murdered shortly after being arrested for questioning. Magola stated that the body of the deceased indicated that he had been tortured. The body had visible injury on the head.
Reports suggest that the body was initially recovered by a boda boda operator in Kiruwitu area near Vipingo in Kilifi, and was taken to mortuary where he was identified by his relatives.
However, according to Kilifi South County Commander Daniel Kitavi, police are yet to know the identify of the deceased. Kitavi said the body might have been dumped at midnight before it was discovered the following morning.
The family members of Swaleh claim they are now living in fear following the mysterious murder of their kin.
