A section of Kenyans who are supporters of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga, have scoled out President William Ruto’s staunch ally Nandi county Senator Hon Samson Cherargei, for giving the former Prime Minister two conditions of either picking a campaign for African Union Chairmanship job, or a presidential candidature campaign for 2027 general election against the incumbent President William Ruto.
In response to the statement which has been made by Senator Cherargei today in Embu, where he has claimed that it seems Odinga is campaigning for both AU job and 2027 presidential election, asking him to choose one of the two bids which he wants instead of wanting them all Kenyans who seemed to be supporters of Azimio leader Raila Odinga, have fired back at him.
They have asked him who he is to give Raila conditions or even to advise him. They have argued that Raila does not need his (Cherargei) support in either of the two bids, therefore he should not be bothered with him seeking both of them. They have wondered why Cherargei and other allies of President William Ruto usually fear Raila, in that they do not want him to contest against them again in 2027 presidential contest. They want him to respect Mr Odinga because he is more experienced than him.
