Actress and radio presenter from Kenya, Jacque Nyaminde, sometimes referred to as Wilbroda, gave open insights on the conditions that led to her marriage to her lover collapsing.
In an insightful interview, Wilbroda admitted her part in the separation to a local magazine. Wilbroda’s awareness that she deliberately caused her marriage to fail by constantly hosting family members, especially her sisters, at her home was one of her most important epiphanies.
“My sisters were always at my house, so I didn’t think it was a big deal until after we broke up and he brought it up to his friend,” she remarked.
She admitted that her then-husband found her family’s frequent presence to be overbearing, and he subsequently confided in a friend about how uncomfortable he felt.
“I failed to notice that. Now that I think about it, I feel like I played a part in their arrival. I overreacted. They were fun to be with, although it was expensive.
Thinking back on her new way of life, Wilbroda revealed that she doesn’t host guests anymore until she extends an invitation.
Even my relatives no longer stay with me. Individual privacy is necessary. That is among the items. Having friends over requires mental preparation.
During the conversation, the difficulties of co-parenting also gained center stage.
Wilbroda candidly shared times when she wondered if she would be able to raise her child by herself, as she was having trouble keeping up a friendship with the child’s father.
“I don’t think we are friends (with the father of my child).” Sometimes you just give up and tell someone, “You know what? I’ll never call you again.” I will handle this on my own. I’m gone, so try to catch me,” she said.
Wilbroda revealed times when her child’s father would become extremely angry, suggesting that anger management difficulties played a role in the breakup of the relationship.
