Officials from the directorate of criminal investigation have confirmed the arrest of 39 year old James Mwangi who is alleged to have lured a woman into a business deal before taking advantage of her and stealing close to 17, 000 from her m-pesa.
According to the statement shared by the directorate of criminal investigation it is alleled that the man had contacted the woman who is well known to him that they were supposed to meet and talk about a business deal that was in the making.
However, after the woman arrived at the meeting point, the man is alleged to have drugged her, taking advantage of her.
The unconscious woman found herself without attires in her car and suspected that he was molested where she reported to the police station.
Detectives from kabete launched a Manhunt where they managed to arrest the man after smoking him from his hideout. He is now expected to be presented before court to answer to charges of stealing and ràpe.
