Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyongo has mourned the death of Mayfair Holdings owner Amin Gilani.
In a statement on Monday, March 4, Nyong’o revealed that the multi-billionaire passed away on Saturday, March 2 while receiving treatment in the United Kingdom.
He eulogized Gilani as a great investment partner who greatly contributed to the Kisumu County investment profile.
“I have learned with deep shock about the death of one of Kisumu’s most astute businessmen, Mr Amin Gilani of Mayfair Holdings.
“Mr Gilani’s sudden demise in the United Kingdom on March 2, has robbed this County of a great investment partner whose business enterprises employed hundreds of people and contributed greatly to Kisumu County’s investment profile, especially in the tourism and manufacturing sectors,” Nyong’o eulogized.
