Speaking through his official Twitter account, Mutahi Ngunyi—a prominent supporter of Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government—claimed that Kikuyus are mistreating the head of state. Ngunyi had supported Azimio la Umoja, the leader of the Kenya Coalition, in the previous general election.
And because they have embraced the government, Lio nation will benefit much as a result. According to Ngunyi, Kikuyus will be on the menu while the Luo nation is on the table.
“To Kikuyus, Either the TABLE or the MENU is where you are at now. Ruto has half of his table taken up by Kikuyus. He is a VERY GENTLEMAN. But you handle him AWFULLY. The Luo Nation is now expressing LOVE to him. “You’ll be on the MENU, and they’ll be on the TABLE,” he wrote.
Days have passed since President William Ruto’s Homa Bay tour, during which he has made five trips to the County since taking office.
The declaration also aligns with recent actions taken by President William Ruto and former prime minister Raila Odinga.
