Earlier, kenyans from different parts of the country were left with sadness following the death of Kevin Kiptum, a marathon record holder who died in a car accident together with his couch Gervais Hakizima. The incident left many with questions as it was alleged that he hit a tree before the car rolled in a ditch.
His burial process is currently undergoing and many have praised the president after he ordered a house to be built in his home before the state ceremony. Few known celebrities have also come out to mourn the athlete through songs, the famous one being Marakwet daughter popularly known for her song ‘mali safi chito’.
The artist who seemed to be saddened by the athlete’s demise expressed sadness in the song and she asked God to comfort his family. Many kenyans on social media have come across the song and they noted that it was emotional. Below is a few of their comments;
