A Kenyan TikToker identified as LastbornTowoo has been criticised after sharing content featuring the late athlete Kelvin Kiptum.

The TikToker, who claimed to be a close friend of Kiptum, posted WhatsApp chats, claiming they were conversations between her and the athlete.

Earlier, she shared emotional posts mourning Kiptum, and in one, she wrote, “No more video calls, good morning and night texts. It is hard for me Kelvin Kiptum.”

The woman also shared a 10-minute WhatsApp video call between her and the late, claiming they had planned to go on a date.

“Why couldn’t you wait for a little longer for me my dear? Why? Thursday wasn’t far why why I am still in disbelief,” she captioned the video.
