There have been high cases of femicide in the country in the past few weeks. In another incident where the DCI suspect a foul play, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested a General Service Unit (GSU) officer, identified as Victor Otieno Ouma, in connection with an alleged suicide incident involving a 28-year-old woman named Nelvin Museti.

Ouma, a police constable stationed at the GSU’s Ruaraka headquarters, was apprehended on Thursday following a meticulous forensic analysis of Museti’s phone. The analysis suggested potential links between Ouma and the circumstances surrounding Museti’s tragic death.

According to a police report documenting the incident, Museti reportedly jumped from the third floor of an apartment building in Lang’ata last week. The DCI swung into action after uncovering compelling evidence from phone call analyses, leading them to Ouma as a person of interest in the case.

Upon Ouma’s arrest, detectives proceeded to search Museti’s apartment, where they made startling discoveries. Inside the residence, investigators found a half-used stash of bhang, along with two liters of soft drinks and alcohol. These findings add a new layer to the ongoing investigation, raising questions about the events leading up to Museti’s untimely demise.

The authorities are now focused on unraveling the connections between Ouma and Museti, as well as delving into the circumstances that may have contributed to the alleged suicide.

As the investigation unfolds, the DCI remains committed to bringing clarity to the situation and ensuring that justice is served for Nelvin Museti and her grieving family.
