Suba North member of parliament Millie Odhiambo has reacted after the appointment of Simeon Nyachae and Francis Muthaura to state jobs. Both leader’s have initially served in past administrations, especially during the Mwai Kibaki era. Mr Muthaura has been appointed as chancellor in the University of Kenyatta for a period of five year’s. Muthaura, a seventy seven year old was one of the people who had a case at the ICC under prosecution of Moreno Ocampo in the famous Ocampo Six. Nyachae on the other hand has been appointed as chair of the council of Kenya school of government for a period of one year.
Their appointment raises questions as to William Ruto’s commitment to uplifting youths and hustlers. The two leader’s both had lengthy spells in government and maybe it was time to give the baton to new and fresh blood. Millies statement is however a sarcasm as the two are neither hustlers not youths.
