The Kenyan Government has today broken silence with a powerful message targeting all bars and entertainment joints owners inhabiting varied local and regional destinations.
Addressing via County Commissioner Jack Obuo today the 23rd day of December 2023, the Kenyan Government has banned all bars and entertainment joints from selling alcohol to minors during this festive season.
The Kenyan Government has intimated that the directive which takes effect immediately has been orchestrated with the solemn aim of streamlining operation of bars and entertainment joints during this festive season.
The Kenyan Government has further directed all bars and entertainment joints to follow to the letter the institutionalized operation hours, articulating that it will conduct a major crackdown to ensure strict conformity to the hours of operation.
The Government ban on sell if alcohol to minors come at a time when schools across the country are expected to set rolling the first term of the 2024 academic year in January next year.
In order to make sure that alcohol rules are strictly followed, particularly with regard to operating hours, we shall conduct routine patrols,” he declared.
