The Head of State Dr William Ruto has on Friday, Dec 22 taken his rural backyard by storm days to the Christmas festivals.

In a charm offensive return to Sugoi, Uasin Gishu county where he was born and raised, Ruto took time to engage residents on matters of national importance.

Thousands of residents turned up to be addressed by the Head of State who was in company of Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, Uasin Gishu county boss Jonathan Bii, several MPs and MCAs as well as local leaders.

In his address as revealed by State House, the President said the government will continue implementing programmes that will expand opportunities for Kenyans, citing the Affordable Housing Programme and the Financial Inclusion Fund (Hustler Fund).

“So far, more than 120,000 people have been employed in the housing programme,” President Ruto said.

The President further noted that his administration will enforce the necessary resources to ensure that the Universal Health Coverage is actualized.

He also affirmed that each Kenyan will be given an opportunity to pay for the health services based on his or her ability.
