A few hours ago, a very sad incident occurred where a matatu vehicle full of passengers was allegedly hit by an improvised explosive device along Dabaab – Garrisa highway in Garissa county. According to the report, at least four people were killed on the spot and six others were seriously injured. According to the report, two people died on the spot while two others died while receiving treatment in the hospital.
Those who were injured were quickly rushed to the nearest hospital for medical checkups and treatment by good samaritans who arrived at the scene on time to save their lives. The bodies of the deceased were taken to the nearest mortuary for preservation and autopsy as they await identification from family members to come and pick them up for burial purposes.
