Head of State His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto has today broken silence with an evening powerful statement targeting unemployed Kenyan youths inhabiting varied local and regional destinations.
Addressing via a statement dated today the 14th day of December 2023, Head of State His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto has declared education not a mandatory requirement for Kenyans to serve as handy men at the construction sites of the affordable houses.
The Head of State has intimated that no education whatsoever is needed to serve as handy man, calling upon all youths regardless of the education status to come out in large numbers to be deployed in the ongoing construction of affordable houses.
The president has further divulged that Kenyan youths who are fully qualified to serve as engineers, plumbers, electricians amongst other critical jobs will also be deployed to offer their services at the affordable housing construction sites.
“Baringo residents get prepared. Already with have 30 hectares in different towns, that is Mogotio, Marigat, Eldama Ravine and two more places set aside for construction of affordable housing. We want to construct first 5,000 affordable houses and we need 10,000 youths to perform that job. Baringo youths are you prepared? We need engineers, plumbers, electricians. We need everyone, even those who don’t have education, we have a job for you, you can serve as a handy man. Can you really be defeated in performing handy man job?” President Ruto stated.
