Senior counsel Donald B Kipkorir on 12th December evening resurfaced online with a bold message to kenyans following latest national awards and honours.
Speaking via his official twitter handle, Donald B Kipkorir castigated president William Ruto for leaving out Public Service cabinet secretary Moses Kuria.
According to him, it was unfair to leave out Mosea Kuria considering the fact that all cabinet secretaries normally get EGH honours by tradition.
Donald B Kipkorir further claims that national awards isn’t a mark of excellence but a tradition and therefore Moses Kuria would have granted one
“All Cabinet Ministers get EGH by tradition …. It is unfair to leave out my friend Moses Kuria. National Honours are given out like confetti. Let every Minister get it as it isn’t a mark of excellence but tradition”, he wrote.
His statement comes off amid outrage from kenyans who feels that president William Ruto honoured other leaders who shouldn’t have been awarded the awards.
Even, senior counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi as well commented on the issue saying kenyans are being mislead by disputing Ruto’s awards and honours.
” I’m reading many comments on X about the government awarding thieving governors and other criminals the highest national honours for their exemplary plunder of national budget. Why should ordinary Kenyans spend time arguing the merits and the demerits of the ruling class conducting their annual initiation ceremony for the latest/new thieves deserving national award for exemplary pillaging of public money? @WehliyeMohamed is misleading Kenyans to discuss a very unproductive, futile and sterile debate.”, He wrote.
