Nuru Okanga, a staunch supporter of the Azimio la Umoja political coalition, has expressed his gratitude for the generous support he received from Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga following the release of the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results.

In an exclusive interview with NTV, Okanga remained elusive about his exam score, but he disclosed that Raila had bestowed him with a substantial amount of money, encouraging him to celebrate his academic achievement.

Although the exact figure remained undisclosed, Okanga praised Raila for his significant role in shaping his political ambitions.

“Raila has sent me a lot of money today. He told me to buy a cow and celebrate with my family,” Okanga revealed.

Expressing his deep appreciation, Okanga acknowledged Raila as the driving force behind his emergence as a notable figure in Kenyan politics. “Raila, my president, he’s the one who has made me become a brand in Kenya,” he stated, emphasizing the numerous calls he receives urging Raila’s active involvement in the political landscape.

Amid speculations about his next academic move, Okanga hinted at joining Alliance High School, despite receiving multiple offers from other school principals. He also thanked Embakasi East MP Babu Owino for sponsoring his high school education, declaring his intention to attend Alliance and promising to engage fellow students in political discussions.

Furthermore, Okanga credited Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah for inspiring him to return to school and pursue education. Wajackoyah’s advice to attain educational qualifications for the upcoming 2027 General Election influenced Okanga’s decision to enroll in Mumias Muslim Primary School, with Wajackoyah providing financial support.

“I wanted it to be made public so that when it comes to the 2027 elections, no one will accuse me of failing to complete my education,” Okanga affirmed, highlighting his commitment to both academic excellence and his political aspirations.

The Azimio supporter gained significant online attention after rumors circulated that he had scored 401 marks in the KCPE exams. Okanga clarified that the posted index number did not belong to him, adding that he was yet to access his official results.
