New twist has emerged on the war between retired justice David Maraga and Inspector General of police Hon. Japheth Koome. According to reports from The Standard Newspaper is that retired justice David Maraga’s taskforce made a stinging recommendations against the National Police Commission and a meeting has been set for next week after one aborted yesterday, to discuss a way forward and start the implementation process including calls for commissioners to head home.
Furthermore, the difference between the two sides has resulted to police being in crisis talks over damning reports and the next meeting set is expected to end their wrangles and bring peace between them.
Inspector General of Police Japheth Koome has been silent for a long time and he rarely makes public appearance despite the wrangles that has been going in the sector he is heading.
