The National Police Service broke its silence today and sent a strong message to all Kenyan citizens living in various local and regional locations.

The National Police Service announced a nationwide crackdown on all stores selling counterfeit goods in a statement dated today, November 21, 2023.

The National Police Service has stated that they will apprehend and prosecute any store owners who are discovered to be at the heinous epicenter of selling counterfeit goods, including fake alcohol.

The National Police Service has also hinted that, as of today, during the recently initiated nationwide crackdown, 14 people have been arrested for allegedly selling counterfeit alcohol in Nairobi’s expansive Kayole neighborhood.

The National Police Service has emphasized that the goal of the nationwide crackdown is to reduce the alarming number of instances of the sale of counterfeit goods occurring in the nation.
