Nyambaria

Nyambaria Boys High School is one of the most performing schools in Nyamira county especially judging from the previous results. However, the school’s excellent performance was tied to some dishonesty in the exams thus tough measures were placed in the ongoing one. In fact, at the beginning of the exams, Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, the School’s principal and the center manager Charles Onyari was arrested and suspended from the school by the authorities after leakage papers were picked in one of the student’s rooms during exams.

In connection to that, the measures were further put more tight and according to reports, yesterday, students in Nyambaria were asked to strip naked before being asked to enter exam room.

While reacting, Abuga Makori rebuked the act, intimating that it is not only inappropriate but also criminal. He therefore calls upon KNEC, the Exam body and TSC, teachers commission, to revise their way of screening in the school for it exposes the learners to panic.

‘ KNEC should STOP harassing KCSE students in Nyamira and Kisii Counties. Asking students to strip naked before being asked to enter examination rooms is not only inappropriate but also criminal. What happened at Nyambaria High yesterday is unacceptable. TSC, KE shame on you for exposing kids to panic at the time exams are being done. ‘
