On Wednesday morning, news made headlines across various social media platforms after several senators allied to the new Kenya Kwanza administration called for the impeachment of Public Service Cabinet Secretary (CS) Moses Kuria.
Led by Senator Aaron Cheruiyot and his counterpart Stewart Madzayo, the senators pleaded with the head of state to deal with CS Kuria and oust him from holding public office alleging that his conduct and leadership style has always been an embarrassment to his (Ruto’s) new led government and to the citizens in general.
The Senators were aggrieved with CS Kuria’s attempt to interfere with the ongoing impeachment hearing of Governor Kawira Mwangaza.
Hours after their threats, the outspoken CS through his official Twitter account has boldly sent a message to those trying to plot his impeachment probably in the upcoming days stating that they should know that it’s not only leaders hailing from the Mountain who can be impeached.
“Let it be known that it is not only Mt Kenya region which can produce Governors to be impeached” the tweet read.
