Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka was on Thursday afternoon, present at parliament chambers when President William Ruto gave his State of the Nation address both to the senate and parliament.

The former Vice President and the current Chair of the national Dialogue committee Mr Kalonzo Musyoka was seemingly the only top Azimio leader present at the chambers as his boss Raila Odinga and Martha Karua went missing

Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula took time to introduce his guest, with applause and cheers ruling the house once Kalonzo’s name was mentioned.

Among the other guests seated alongside Kalonzo in the same row included Attorney General Justin Muturi, Chief Justice Martha Koome, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka, Musalia Mudavadi among others.

“We recognize invited guests seated on the speaker’s row including Mama Rachel Ruto, Hon Rigathi Gachagua and his spouse, Musalia Mudavadi, lady Justice Martha Koome, Flomena Muilu, former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka who is also the core chair of national dialogue committee,” stated Wetangula amid cheers from the chambers

This came even as a section of MPs from Azimio camp ed by Senator Edwin Sifuna vowed to stay off the chambers as Ruto gave his speech. Sifuna said he will not be part of those who will be sitting at the chambers to “listen to William Ruto’s lies to the nation”
