The highly coveted police deployment to the altruistic and exemplary country of Haiti has taken a major twist after the Kenyan Government Government set key conditions for the deployment.
Addressing via the Ministry of Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki today the 9th day of November 2023, the Kenyan Government has divulged that it will not spend any money in the deployment process of Kenyan police officers to Haiti as it had earlier committed to do.
The Kenyan Government had already spend KSh36 Billion in the preparation of police officers stipulated to be deployed to Haiti. However, while appearing before the National Assembly security committee today Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki divulged that the money will be refunded back to state.
Giving a glimpse of when the money spend on preparation of police officers will be refunded, the Kenyan Government divulged that the refund will take course once the United Nations gives the country the solemn green light to initiate the deployment exercise.
In another twist, the Kenyan Government has intimated that it will not deploy police officers to Haiti until all required resources equipment for deployment are availed by the United Nations member stated.
