A MAN in Kigumo, Murang’a who is walking with bees on his head has asked the county leaders to help him buy hives to turn the insects into an economic investment.Through a video circulating on the internet, the barobaro can be heard speaking in the Agikuyu language saying “keeping bees is my talent”.
Participating in questions by some people on the street, he says his ambition in life is to own tanks.
“Our honorable Munyoro (Kigumo Member of Parliament Joseph Munyoro), and the Councilor (MCA), please give me several beehives so that I can be proud to be a young man from Murang’a. I have no place to put them,” he says.
Those who inquire about him are heard wanting to know the place where he will send the dangerous insects, although they are valuable due to honey production.
“Where are you going to take them?” one of them asks. And he answers, “Perhaps I should tell them to climb.”
“They won’t attack someone else?” more and more questions are being asked.
According to him, he will order them to go and build a ‘shelter’ in the bush and that they will not go to anyone.
The most surprising thing is that the man says the swarm of bees he walks with have never stung or attacked him.
“I am cleansed…God is there,” he explains, causing the crowd to burst into laughter.
When he is carrying a load, bees seem to surround him from his back, towards his cheeks, on his chin and on his neck.
“I ask that I be given cannons by these leaders of ours, raise and jack my talent. Just as young people who play soccer are given balls, I will also be given cannons,” he prays.
“Let my talent be raised like the others… If I am given 10,000 tanks I will be very happy,” he continues to explain.
In addition, the tough and brave guy from Murang’a admits that he has the ability to order them to enter the hive.
While those who ask him questions promise to talk to the leaders of Murang’a County, the man says his wish is to meet Governor Irungu Kang’ata insisting that the power of bees is his job.
In a conversation with his interrogators, it is revealed that he has been used several times to repel bees that invade people’s homes.
Murang’a is one of the counties in the country with attractions and circuses.
