A moment of fireworks has been witnessed in the senate after majority whip senator Boni Khalwale sent a special message to the people of Meru following the impeachment motion of their Governor Kawira Mwangaza.
According to the video shared, the Kakamega senator was responding to the debate as he claimed that he has received a number of calls and texts from the Meru people requesting him to administer justice to them on the issue of impeaching the Governor.
“Allow Mr Speaker to use to opportunity to tell the people of Meru at a personal level that I have had enough call from you that the Governor gets justice, and we are up to the task and that justice will be served,” Senator Khalwale said.
This is after Meru county Assembly passed a motion of impeachment against their governor where she will now be facing a plenary of the senate which will decide her fate.
