The government of Uganda has announced of it’s plans to reduce fuel imports from Kenya significantly over the government to government between Kenya and Saudi Arabia. Uganda is clear that, citizens are suffering in their country because of a bad deal that was signed in Saudi Arabia.
President Museveni wants Uganda to import fuel directly from the Oil Marketers as opposed to importing it from Kenya. This is a big blow to Kenya given the fact that, Uganda is the biggest consumer of oil imports from Kenya through the Port of Mombasa.
President Ruto ruthless approach to economy has continued to impact negatively on Uganda for they depend on Kenya in a number of issues. Whether this challenges will be resolved, let’s wait and see of what unfolds elf it’s a fact that we truly live in interesting times.
