President William Ruto made a historic announcement that relieved parents all throughout the country by promising that the cost of high school education would not increase. Speaking in front of the Head of State at Kikuyu Township Primary School in Kiambu County, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu affirmed that President Ruto had given his approval for the decision to keep the present high school rates in place.

The applicants studying for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) were reassured by the Education Cabinet Secretary that they would be guaranteed spots in high schools and not have to worry about paying more money. He said that pupils enrolled in national and extra-county schools will continue to pay Ksh53,000 in annual school fees, while students accepted into county schools would have to pay.Do you believe that the government will act on the message that is still trending?
