Rapper Julius ‘Juliani’ Owino has finally confirmed his relationship with former Machakos First Lady Lillian Ng’ang’a.
Taking to social media on September 3, Juliani stated that they are consenting adults and called on his followers to ignore any other narratives, which he termed as ill-intentioned, surrounding their relationship.
“In this photo are two fully conscious adults who have chosen to be together. Any other narrative is false, outdated, and ill-intentioned. Let’s respect people’s choices. Love and let love,” wrote the Utawala hitmaker, a message Lilian reiterated by re-sharing on her timeline.
The confirmation comes barely a day after activist Boniface Mwangi revealed that Juliani had received death threats for sharing photos with Lilian on social media and recorded a statement at Kileleshwa Police Station.
“My very good friend @JulianiKenya was threatened yesterday. Someone called him and texted using (phone number). He told him to stop posting pics posed with his friend @LillyanneNganga, and if he continues, they will kill him,” tweeted Mwangi.
Opening up about the threats, Juliani rubbished claims that he ‘stole’ Lilian, saying the narrative was false and tired.
“How now can you “iba mtu”?! An intelligent adult with a sound mind. The call/text threat on my life today, NOT funny! “ulinyang’anyana” narrative is false, tired, juicy headlines tu. Kindly STOP! For the threats, usi aim face, na prefer niki smile kwa open casket. Baraka,” he wrote.
Lilian, while announcing her split after 10 years from Dr Alfred Mutua, said she still remains friends with the Machakos Governor.
“Winds of change blew my way and two months ago, I decided to end the long-term relationship with Dr Alfred Mutua. We had a good run and I am forever grateful to God, he brought us together. We remain friends,” she posted.
