Some few minutes ago, Dr David Ndii who is the current chief economic advisor to president William Ruto came out to speak about the leadership of Nairobi county over an incident which happened today in the morning.

As seen from his tweet, Ndii started by condemning the decision by Nairobi leadership to chase out several vendors who were doing their businesses today in the morning from the streets. According to Ndii, this move by Sakaja leadership is an indication that his leadership is not hustler friendly. Ndii defended the vendors saying that they were on the streets because that is where they find their customers. He blamed Sakaja for running on what he termed as order platform.

“The Nairobi County leadership is not hustler friendly. Thats why I keep prodding @SakajaJohnson on it. Sakaja run on an “order” platform. His plan was to put hustlers in markets— which is #UpperDeck sillyness. Street vendors are on streets because thats where customers are.” Said Dr David Ndii
