Girl tells she uses numbing spray to get rid of pain of wearing heels

A woman who shared that she sprays her feet with numbing spray to be able to wear high heels has been slammed for irresponsible advise.
She shared her video on Tiktok and it re appeared on Twitter where many advise girls not try such an experiment.

This is a terrible idea. Pain is your body’s way of telling you that something is wrong. If you need to numb your feet to do something as mundane as WEARING SHOES, you need different shoes.

It’s probably because of lidocaine toxicity. Lidocaine is what numbs you up but if too much gets in your bloodstream it can be lethal, I don’t know if the absorption from spraying too much on your feet can cause arrhythmias but I’m guessing that’s y it could be dangerous

This feels like a good way to end up with serious nerve damage in your feet. You wouldn’t be able to feel when you’ve overtaxed them

despite the rumors this is completely safe, the reason heels hurt when wearing them for extended hours, is because of the pressure from gravity, numbing your foot just makes it so you don’t feel that pressure, that’s all it does
