New Life Church leader televangelist pastor Ezekiel Odero has approximated the amount of money he used to organize his crusade that was recently cancelled by police two times in past one week.
Odero who was speaking on Friday, 13th when he appeared before the Senate House committee revealed that his church used millions of Kenya shillings to organize the event before the police stopped it from taking place.
“We recently organized a crusade in Kilifi and even advertised in NTV and KTN. I hope you know the cost. We printed T-shirts and made fliers, this is in terms of millions.” He said.
Ezekiel who accused President William Ruto and Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki of instructing the authorities to cancel his crusade says that he informed all the authorities prior to the dates.
Ezekiel’s statements comes barely a week after the police in Kilifi cancelled his crusade in Kilifi County, citing late notice from the Mavueni based church.
“We could not allow Pasto Ezekiel to his crusade because he informed us within a short notice. It is a requirement that you inform the police within 72 hours, but he will hold the meeting next week.” Confirmed the Kilifi North Sub-County police commander Kenneth Maina.
The crusade was to be held at the Kwa Kega Wa Mupa farm in Basi junction along Kilifi-Malindi highway between 29th day of September and 5th day of October.
