Throughout the Patanisho segment of the breakfast show, the two journalists help reunite couples who are not on good terms.
On Monday, a woman identified as Winfred called in to be reunited with her husband. She claimed she was not on good terms with her man and wanted him to visit her parents for introduction. left a toddler with him
After being contacted by Gidi, Benjamin went on a rant. The man blasted Gidi, telling him to keep off his family issues.
“Are you her father or my father that is why she asked you to solve her marital issues? Is your house in order? Kamilisha kwako wachana na kwangu, si umchukue basi! Wacha kunisumbua (Put your house in order first and stop meddling in my family business. If you want her, take her and stop disturbing me),” he said.
The angry man instead his wife went to visit her parents and never returned home, denying having a fight, telling Gidi to stay away from his family.
“Wacha kunipima bangi. Kama unamtaka mchukue. Shughulika na maisha ako (Stop whatever you are doing! If you want her, take her. Focus on your life),” the angry man said.
Benjamin accused Gidi of collaborating with his wife to ‘humiliate him live on air’, but the journalist said Winfred sent the station a message to help her save her marriage. The man told off Gidi.
“Hii kitu iko Kenyan nzima ni kuniaibisha bana. Kwani familia yake yote imekamilika (This show is live, and many Kenyans are listening to it. This is an embarrassment. Is Gidi’s family perfect)?” Benjamin could be heard telling someone who was with him while still on a call with Gidi.
The Patanisho duo was left shocked with no perfect solution to Winfred’s problem.
“Kimeturumba (things did not go well as expected),” Ghost told his co-host as they burst into laughter.
