Presenter Gidi Ogidi faced a difficult time on Monday morning when he was trying to reconcile a couple who had been at loggerheads after five years of marriage.
Winfred Auma, 23, had sent a message asking for reconciliation with her husband Benjamin Omondi, 34, who had a falling out with her in June this year and ran away from them hoping he would follow her.
Benjamin, however, has not followed her and according to Winfred, he has never officially introduced himself to his parents. . He said he would think about it and then he would come,” Winfred recounted.
She added, “He was only harmful, he was threatening my life, beating me. My parents told me to go and so that he can follow me. So far he has not followed me. When told to come, he refuses, saying if I want to come back, I should go back, but if I don’t want to, I should leave.”
Winfred said she went with one child that she married and her husband stayed with their youngest child that he had with her.
When Benjamin was called, he made it clear that Winfred is his wife and pointed out that they have even been talking.

“I didn’t go to school. I don’t know Kiswahili… She is my grandmother. I even talked to her the other day,” Benjamin said.
When Gidi tried to ask him the truth about what happened and to know his position, Benjamin turned violent.
“Because you are her father or it is my father above who has brought you a case. Do this, you are completely finished? There are things you are interfering with and you do not know. Complete yours leave me. That is my wife leave her. Are you my father or hers? Like You want to take her,” Benjamin shouted at Gidi.
“That’s my wife, I talk to her every day. Leave and that woman is mine. You deal with your life. Leave me alone,” he said before he started talking to the people who were with him.
Gidi had to hang up the call because the guy started using abusive language on the air, which is unacceptable.
“Take me to the hospital. This is a job.. The guy calls me a kid, he says I’m with his wife,” Gidi complained.
Winfred emphasized that she loves her husband very much and said she would really like to reunite with him and raise children together.
However, he said there is a possibility that the guy has other relationships because he once found him with a girl on the street.
