Speaking on Tuesday, Bishop Askofu made a prophecy, alleging that Senators’s proposal over the head of state, Ruto, to take off the government for seven years will not come through. He went on to say that they are not even convinced if the head of state will obtain his economic agenda during his compulsory five-year tenure.
Bishop Askofu continues to say that he, as the bishop, discerns another candidate ready to enroll in the presidential context in 2027, and therefore, proposals over Ruto to move on to functioning at the state house up to 2029 will be unthinkable.
“For the president to rule for more than five years, it will not happen, and as a bishop, I see people ready to percolate on the field in 2027, so the extension of the presidential term limit will never take place,” the bishop said.
He went on to argue that Kenyans should continue showing their support for the current regime, adding that it is their responsibility to do that.
