The DCI released images depicting a woman making a hurried escape through the rear exit following the murder of Erick Maigo who held the position of finance director at Nairobi Hospital. Maigo, a 40-year-old interim finance director at Nairobi Hospital, was found with 16 stab wounds lying in a pool of blood.
Investigators had also identified the main suspect in the brutal killing of Erick Maigo, the acting finance director at Nairobi Hospital indicating that she is a minor aged between 15 to 17 years old. As per the DCI, the suspect, now identified as Ann Adhiambo was captured on CCTV leaving the victim’s residence.
The CCTV footage revealed that the suspect likely sustained severe cuts on her body particularly on her stomach and hands, as she struggled to free herself from the razor wire fence mounted on top of the perimeter wall.
The woman, clad in a checked hoodie and animal print trousers ascended a water tank and then leaped over the fence into the adjacent property.
Subsequently, she gestured to someone inside the property, peering over the fence and engaging in what seemed like a conversation with an individual outside while her left leg remained extended on top of the perimeter wall. According to witnesses, the woman stole shoes from outside residences before casually leaving while still wearing her blood-soaked clothes.
The possibility of Lusenga’s involvement in planning Maigo’s murder is a deeply concerning development in this case. After a brief attempt to scale the wall, she abandoned the idea, climbed down, and proceeded towards the main gate.
