Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga has sent message to President William Ruto moments after being freed by unknown people who abducted him on Saturday.

Maina Njenga was abducted at his Banana home by unknown people on Saturday, blindfolded, handcuffed and drove to unknown place which he says was not a police station.

The ex-mungiki leader was freed by the abductors, dumped around Limuru in Nakuru county on Sunday night before he took a Bodaboda who drove him to his Banana home.

Njenga’s release was confirmed by his lawyer Ndegwa Njiru who accused the police of being behind the abduction of his client.

“Client Maina Njenga was finally released by the rogue police hit squad after our press conference,” Ndegwa said.

Speaking to media people moments after being freed, Njega narrated his ordeal in the hands of abductors who he says took, blindfolded him and drove him to unknown location.

Njenga regretted that days that had gone with KANU regime under the leadership of late President Moi where people were being abducted are back with the current regime.

He pleaded with all elected leaders and President William Ruto to rise and address the current situation in the country.

“I want to ask all the leaders including the president to look into this matter going on the country because it is not right. We want justice to prevail.” He said.

The embattled leader also said that despite the fact that he was blindfolded, he is aware of abducted him.
