A baffling incident unfolded at the residence of nominated MP Trizah Wanjiru Mwangi as an enraged businesswoman stormed her home at night, accusing the legislator of taking her hubby.
Hellen Muthoni, a businesswoman who operates Helmac Baby World at Nairobi’s Kamukunji market, claimed Jacob Macharia, a prominent businessman from Nyandarua, was her husband.

A source close to Wanjiru, Moses Warui, told TUKO.co.ke the twist in this already dramatic tale was that Macharia was officially married to Trizah.

Their marital journey spanned over a decade, and they bore two children.

Hellen, a mother of three from Kiambu, launched an emotional attack on the MP in her Runda residence, asserting Macharia was her husband and that they also shared children.

The confrontation left the MP in tears, as she had recently celebrated her 10th anniversary with Macharia two months ago.
Warui further revealed to TUKO.co.ke the drama unfolded when Trizah sought to legalise her marriage for a smooth political journey.

Shockingly, she discovered that her husband’s family claimed to recognise Hellen as Macharia’s wife and the mother of his children.

“She wanted to legalise her marriage so that come 2027, she is set to campaign,” said the source.
The same source further explained that the MP had been aware of Hellen’s presence in Macharia’s life and her children but was led to believe the two had separated long before she met Macharia.

As Trizah grapples with this unexpected turn of events, her primary concern now is legitimising her children and ensuring her husband takes responsibility for them.
“This is Karen Nyamu situation. All she wants now is to legitimise her children. Pressure from both side should make him (Trizah’s husband) take responsibility,” said Warui.
” The family sees her as not a submaisive wife since she’s a ‘mheshimiwa’ . The other one is more likely to submit,” added Warui.
President William Ruto’s part, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), nominated Trizah as a Member of the National Assembly under the youth category.

Trizah was born in Nyacaba (Juja Constituency) and was brought up and schooled in Thika.
